VADODARA: After assisting ace Bollywood fashion designer Neeta Lulla for the epic film Jodhaa Akbar to grooming Aishwarya Rai Bachchan for her wedding, this Barodian is finally going solo. Hazel Paul, an MS University (MSU) alumna, has bagged her first solo film project as a costume director. And, its not just films, she has also styled celebrities like Asin, Shriya Saran, Bhumika Chawla, Sarah Jane, Sheetal Malhar and Kapil Dev for print and television commercials.

In fact, Paul was also part of the designer team Shilpa Shetty's theatrical Ms Bollywood' troupe. "After Jodhaa Akbar my next assignment with Shetty took me around the world while working on the theatrical. I travelled across Europe extensively for over three months and even got a chance to be part of a performance at the famed Royal Albert Hall. After coming back I decided to branch out and started working as an independent stylist and costume designer," shared Paul with TOI from Mumbai.

And, it seems her decision to go solo worked with Bollywood taking notice of her. Paul clinched her first film project Sharafat Gayi Tel Lene' produced by the makers of Khosla Ka Ghosla. The star cast include Zayed Khan, Rannvijay Singh, Anupam Kher and new comer Tina Desai.
