Ghajini`s advance booking totter first-week BO collection record!

Mumbai, Dec 28: ‘Ghajini’ has sort of broken records even before its release. The advance bookings of tickets has made the action-thriller earn Rs 35 crore already. Going by the comparisons running rife between Aamir’s ‘Ghajini’ and Shah Rukh’s ‘Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’, Aamir has scored one over SRK.

The phenomenon is so novel, that it is the first time that a film has been mentioned in the business pages of major news-dailies of the country! Another booming release of the year ‘Singh is Kinng’, that collected a whopping 44 crore the first week, competed with ‘Om Shanti Om’s over 40 crore collection. With these figures for a start, ‘Ghajini’ needs a mere 10 crore to break the record! This seems like a child’s play for Aamir with the kind of fan-mania he has already created. Now ‘Rab Ne…’ stands not much chance for much record breaks, for it has collected a mere 10crore the first week. Buit the response overseas has been tremendous with the Shah Rukh starrer featuring among the top 10 movies of US this year.
