At the banquet for Patil, Chinese musicians played four Bollywood songs including Geeta Dutt’s "Mere naam chin chin chu" based on the portrayal of a Chinese girl in the film ‘Howrah Bridge’. Other songs played at the banquet included ‘Gore gore baki chore’, ‘Baar baar dekho’ and ‘Roja janeman’. Chinese leaders including president Hu Jintao said they want to establish a gallery on the two visits by poet Tagore to China in 1924 and 1929 at the Rabindra Bharati in Kolkata. Patil will be joined at a reception being hosted by India on Friday by Vatsala Kotnis, sister of Dwarkanath Kotnis, who is highly respected for his medical services to China during the Japanese invasion in 1937.
