MUMBAI: After the mad rush for tickets at Wankhede Stadium , Mumbaikars are turning to multiplexes to watch the India-Sri Lanka cricket World Cup final, which will kick off at 2.30 pm on Saturday. But cinema halls are not putting all their eggs in the cricket basket. Instead, only half the screens at each multiplex will air the match; the rest have been booked for two Bollywood releases, Faltu and Game.

On account of the film releases coinciding with the big game, there will be fewer cinema halls screening the World Cup final than there were during the semi-final between India and Pakistan . Film industry sources said the distributors of 'Faltu' and 'Game' have stipulated that if their shows are reduced, multiplexes will have to reimburse them for a full house. "Multiplexes are still negotiating with distributors to adjust show timings, as industry pundits fell that cricket will be crowed puller, said a source.
