The 26-year-old has already shot scenes in Bristol and Bath, and told local media: "It's been fantastic so far. I met Salman Khan a few times. He is very focused on his work - it's quite inspiring to see. "We haven't been told what the film is all about - it's a bit of a secret - but the costumes are quite elaborate and there are a few fighting scenes. I'm looking forward to getting into the dialogue, which will come later. It's been interesting and exciting but a lot of hard work." Bhairon will travel to Mumbai soon to shoot further scenes and wrap up her supporting role in the film.

I have always loved his films. I even remember his dialogues and most of his films, scene by scene. He was astonished because I could remember his films and dialogues.

The rumour mills started working overtime after Butler, whom she met at the launch of the Atlantis hotel in Dubai last year, was quoted as saying in a leading daily: "I don't mind getting married to an Indian girl. Too bad Priyanka already has a boyfriend". Though rumours of a romantic liaison between Shahid and Priyanka have been in the grapevine lately after their joint appearance at filmmaker Tarun Mansukhani's birthday party in Mumbai last week, neither has confirmed the development.

It had to happen, and it has happened. When there are three famous Bollywood stars that are franchisee owners of three of the main teams in the IPL, i.e. Shah Rukh Khan, Shilpa Shetty and Preity Zinta, a convergence between the films and cricket had to be arrived. And it has arrived. These three super stars have decided that they would be on the hunt for a new Bollywood starlet from amongst the spectators who come to watch the matches of the IPL.

Website Polls - Made Super easy by Micropoll.com

This decision would really send the camerapersons covering the IPL matches in South Africa into a tizzy, as there would be a load of glamour and oomph on display with loads of attitude and array of designer ware. After all, when would the pretty girls from South Africa be they of the Indian origin or the South African origin get a chance to act in a film in Bollywood. As it is South Africa is a venue, which has been quite popular with our Hindi film industry as a preferred locale, and Sanjay Dutt is a star that is the most popular of the Indian film stars in South Africa. These three stars would have a lot of watching to do, and they have not retracted, but have decided to watch all the matches to find out that elusive face. After all, who does not want to unleash one's own discovery into the world of Hindi cinema, a protege always warms the cockles of the heart. The person who would be finally selected would be entitled to a role in a Hindi film, 50000 Rands in cash, a business class trip to India and a whole truckload of other prizes. The whole idea behind going in for searches of these kinds is to get a fresh face without the trappings of grooming for a space in Bollywood.

Box office collections for Bollywood films in March stood at about Rs 60 crore, the lowest in three years, said analysts. A further drop is expected in April.

So far, Bollywood films have been generating an average monthly collection of about Rs 110 crore. The leanest month before this was May 2008, when collections were Rs 90 crore. The reason for the low April figure is the launch of the Indian Premier League Twenty20 format cricket tournament. Analysts expect April gross collections to further drop by 15-20 per cent compared with March. The 250-plus multiplexes across the country are expecting losses of about Rs 200 crore if the scenario continues till June.

The bidding wars are finally over and news is that M. Shyam Prasad Reddy, the man who produced the Telugu version of the super hit movie Arundhati, has decided to remake the film in Hindi. With many producers, including Ghajini's Madhu Mantena, vying for the Hindi remake rights it only made sense for  Reddy to hold on to the rights of the very lucrative movie. One of the many hitches is that Reddy is looking for a director.

Actor Sonu Sood, who plays the villain in the movie, confirms that remake expert Priyadarshan turned down the offer to direct due to the short notice. The movie begins its Hindi shoot in June. Unfortunately for the movie, the original director Kodi Ramkrishna doesn’t know Hindi.  And it’s not just the director, but the lead heroine isn’t confirmed too. The producer wanted Anushka Sharma to play the title role but a slight miscommunication led to that falling through. The only choice left is the Anushka who plays the role of Arundhati in both the Telugu and Tamil versions. As for the male lead, Arjan Bajwa has completely declined to reprise his small role.

What is the producer’s present revenue-sharing arrangement with multiplexes? Every movie is sold on different terms to the plexes depending on the size of the film and its star cast. An Aamir Khan or a Shah Rukh Khan film would have different terms from a film with a lesser star. The range would be from 45-35-30-25 — the producer gets 45 per cent of the revenues in Week One, 35 per cent in Week Two, 30 per cent in Week Three and 25 per cent in Week Four — to 50-40-30-25.

Not just Aishwarya, Katrina has also replaced 33-year-old Sushmita Sen for an endorsement deal with shampoo brand Pantene. "Actors have a very short span of life as most of them start early and by the time they cross 30, the nature of the roles they get are more mature than candyfloss stuff. So the industry is always on the lookout for young blood," Chatterjee told IANS.

Mumbai (IANS): Getting Bollywood stars to canvas for votes is proving to be an uphill task for political parties as many actors are shying away from the frenzy of Lok Sabha poll campaigns - even though many contestants are themselves members of the film fraternity.

I use Website Polls for website polls.

"We in the film industry talk about solidarity and brotherhood but we are a house divided. Getting stars to campaign this time has become really tough," Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Shatrughan Sinha told IANS. "With stars unwilling to campaign, there is greater burden on me. I don't only have to look out for my own candidacy in Patna, I also have to be the so-called star attraction for my party and campaign for other candidates," he added.

"Really, it couldn't have been a worse time for Bollywood with bad quality movies dominating from January till March, producers calling a strike in April and then May seeing IPL at its ferocious best," rues Madhur Bhandarkar, who is currently busy shooting Jail . After a disastrous first quarter of 2009, this seems to be the industry's worst dream coming true with hardly any films being confirmed for the next two months except Kal Kissne Dekha (releasing May 1) and Kambakkth Ishq , scheduled to open on May 29.
